The five fertilization steps include:

1.  March to April – Crab grass pre-emergent application.

2. May – Broadleaf pre-emergent with fertilization application.

3.  Late June to Early July – Broadleaf post-emergent application.

4.  September – Broadleaf post-emergent with fertilization application.

5.  Late October to November – Winterizer application.
